Here’s your preview of the first full month of school!
International Night is coming up on September 24th this year, and it’ll be OSSM’s annual celebration of all the diverse cultures and backgrounds that live through all of our students. From qipaos to saris, students will be decked out in all kinds of traditional clothing! However, cultural outfits are only a part of what International Night has to offer; you’ll also get the opportunity to taste various foods shared among families and friends of OSSM.
Basement Dance will be starting right after International Night ends. The chilly basement will be transformed into a dance floor with some pumping party music where you can dance away all your inner stress from that day’s history test and just school in general.
The annual food drive competition will be starting, and each floor of the dorms will be competing against each other in an effort to collect as much food as possible to help fight hunger in our state. Partnering with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, our school will be working together to give as much back to the community as we can. There will be a total of nine boxes on campus, so make sure to bring any non-perishable foods you have to donate and possible win a prize for your floor (last year’s winners got pizza)!
