The Ghost of Finals Past

When the end of the semester rolls around, a new wave of stress rolls in. Each anxious student awaits the finals, but especially at OSSM, there is nothing quite like the unique experience of patiently testing for 2-3 hours for each class. For the juniors, this new experience might bring in additional stress, while for seniors, its old news. We asked seniors of the CO'18 to give our CO'19 some advice and here are their four main tips.

#1. Don't Get Your Tinsel In a Tangle.

Don't worry too much about the tests, they aren't as bad as you think they are! - Tyler Hitch

Don't stress - Arshia Ramesh

Remember not to put stress on yourself to be/do better than others. Just do the absolute best you can and everything else will fall into place. - Chika Okere

#2. Work Like the Elves.

Keep it simple and keep it real. - Bella Ngo

Focus your energy on the classes you struggle with the most. Make a review packet for those classes consisting information about each chapter; keep it short and have an example of one hard problem included with each chapter. Finally, it is going to be alright. You can do it!!! - Chinwe Okere

#3. Don't Stay Awake Waiting For Santa.

Sleep, drink coffee, repeat - Emily Johnson

SLEEP - Khayla Black

Don't pull all nighters! - Laura Deng

Don't stay up all night trying to study - Meghana Fathepure

#4. No Humbugs Here.

At the end of the day, it is going to be okay. We are intelligent, and we are not going to be brought down. Keep striving! - Summar Owens

Get sleep, study, and look forward to Christmas break! Remember that you have an 'A' until you get your grades back! - Austin Kirk
